Digital business printing proves popular

In the world of printing the major source of income for many is business printing which covers all internal and external branded printed material. This can range from advertising, company brochures, human resources booklets and any printed material that is required to communicate a message to an employee or client. With the introduction of digital technology the business printing industry has been revolutionised.

Digital business printing accommodates smaller batches of printing and is more cost effective. Prior to digital print technology litho plates were used which meant that for one batch, one set of plates needed to be used then discarded making the process uneconomic when dealing with smaller print runs. Although some still testify that litho plates bring a higher print technology it is expected that its digital counterpart will overtake it within the next five years.
